Almighty God, in your wisdom you have so ordered our earthly life that we must walk by faith and not by light:
give us such trust in your fatherly care that in the face of all perplexities we may give proof of our faith by the courage of our lives; through Jesus Christ our Lord.Amen.

A prayer for choosing a new bishop:

Eternal God, shepherd and guide, in your mercy give your Church in this diocese after your own heart who will walk in your ways, and with loving care watch over your people. Give us a leader of vision and a teacher of your truth. So may your Church be built up and your name glorified; through Jesus Christ our Lord. Amen.

The expansion of the High School Ministry in our local area. We give thanks for the schools that have helped make SRE healthy in our area and we pray for the more than 50% of high school students who do not have the option of participating in SRE. We also pray that SRE will continue to grow and better serve our communities, our schools and our families.

The Acting Bishop of our Diocese Assistant Bishop Peter, and his wife Nicki.

Persecuted Christians throughout the world who face hardship because of their religious or cultural identity. Let us hold in our hearts and prayer all who are walking a path through the violence and uncertainties of our time.

The strength to be able to follow the example of Jesus Christ, our Saviour and Lord.

Growth in our Parish. May we also pray that more will come to know God and His Son Jesus Christ and be willing to share publicly their Faith. Also pray that our Parish Family will find peace, happiness and good health as we move through 2017.

Pray that God might break down the barriers of prejudice in our lives that we might show his love to all we meet.

AND

We pray for Bronte who will be finishing her studies in a North African country. Bronte will be away for a period of 4 months, so we pray for her safety, her direction, good friends and a supportive and faithful family to help her over the coming months. We also pray for her parents David and Michelle that they will have the ability to be patient and at ease until Bronte’s return.

Travel safely Bronte…..
